St Kilda’s distinctive leadership model has evolved on the eve of Season 2020, with five new inclusions to the broader leadership group.
Tilly Lucas-Rodd, Jess Sedunary, Nat Exon, Ali Drennan and Kate McCarthy will help drive the club in the right direction, offering their experience and wisdom to the red, white and black’s young brigade.
Although Rhiannon Watt, Cat Phillips and Kate Shierlaw were voted in as the club’s inaugural co-captains, the sense of connection the Saints are aiming to create will extend beyond the historic trio.
All have had previous experience at AFLW level, with each bringing their own unique traits to the table.

Lucas-Rodd’s heart and grit are set to inspire the next generation, with her courageous displays in the VFLW seeing her take out the Southern Saints’ best-and-fairest in 2019.
Premiership Crow Sedunary knows what it takes to make it to the elite level and is uncompromising in her ferocity and work ethic.
Homing in on the idea of culture and connection is All Australian forward McCarthy, whose voice can always be heard on and off the field.
Drennan’s exuberance and commitment to extras is also set to bring the group closer together, while Exon’s versatility and toughness make her a model player.
The Saints will make history in their debut game against the Western Bulldogs on Sunday 9 February at RSEA Park.
