Georgia Patrikios’ electric start to life as an AFLW footballer has been rewarded with the Round 1 nomination for the NAB Rising Star.
The vivacious midfielder was sensational on debut, collecting a game-high 18 disposals, five tackles and one historic goal assist that was met with a thunderous roar from the St Kilda faithful.
Patrikios’ ball-winning skills, ferocity and silky sidestep impressed the 8000-strong crowd at RSEA Park, confirming she’ll be one to watch in Season 2020.
Prior to Round 1, the 18-year-old was voted by the 14 AFLW coaches as the player most likely to take out the Rising Star Award.

Patrikios was originally selected with Pick No. 5 in the 2019 NAB Women’s Draft.
