Hill will revert to the No. 32 – his first AFL playing number back for the Hawks – while Jade Gresham will pick up the No. 1.
The AFL ruled the guernsey numbers for Friday's State of Origin Bushfire Game would be decided by who has played the most games in that particular jumper.

Gresham (63 games) had the least experience in the five-horse race for the No. 4, with Dustin Martin (203), Marcus Bontempelli (127), Toby Greene (126) and Shaun Higgins (91) all vying for the position.
His old No. 22 is currently occupied by North Melbourne ruckman, Todd Goldstein.
For Hill, Jack Riewoldt (262 games) takes the mantle of the No. 8 guernsey.
The 26-year-old's former numbers from his time at Hawthorn and Fremantle are occupied respectively by Shane Edwards (No. 10) and Patrick Cripps (No. 9).
Hill and Gresham will line up in Friday's State of Origin Bushfire Match at Marvel Stadium to raise funds for those affected by the ongoing bushfire crisis, with all proceeds raised supporting local footy clubs and communities in fire-affected areas.
