A near full-strength St Kilda line-up will look to make its mark in Sunday afternoon's Marsh Community Series match against Collingwood.
Skipper Jarryn Geary and Dylan Roberton will squeeze in one more game before Round 1, while Dan Hannebery and Zak Jones have been named in the squad.
The inclusion of Jones will bring the Saints' five high-profile recruits from the 2019 Trade Period together for the first time, with Bradley Hill, Paddy Ryder, Dougal Howard and Dan Butler also named.
The 23-year-old speedster starred in last week's Emergency Services Practice Match against the Hawks with 30 disposals, while Geary and Roberton also enjoyed solid returns after their respective spells on the sidelines.
Hill and Jade Gresham will be ready to go after starring in Friday's State of Origin Bushfire Game.
Key defender Jake Carlisle wasn’t considered for selection after family commitments this week limited his ability to train.
The 12-man interchange bench will be cut down to six on Friday afternoon, with all players not selected taking part in a practice match against Collingwood VFL on Saturday with Round 1 spots still very much up for grabs.
Coach Brett Ratten said the weekend’s two matches allowed the full squad to get important game-time.
“With a healthy list at the minute, we have a lot of guys pushing to be part of our final 22 for Round 1,” Ratten told saints.com.au.
“We will be watching both games really closely with a lot of guys competing for spots.”
The St Kilda and Collingwood clash at Morwell Recreation Reserve will kick off at 3:50pm.
