St Kilda rookie player Eli Templeton has undergone surgery in Melbourne on Monday for an arm fracture suffered during the match against Brisbane in Wellington on Anzac Day.
Templeton will remain in hospital until midweek before undergoing an extended rehabilitation period. A return-to-play date is still to be determined but he is anticipated to miss approximately three to four months.

Head of Football, Chris Pelchen said: "Eli had made a promising start to his first AFL season after being elevated from the Saints rookie list, so to suffer this injury in Round 6 was very disappointing for both him and the club. But we are confident the outstanding application that Eli has already shown to his football will see him return to play either later this year or early in 2015."
Thanks for all the support and well wishes. Special thanks to @SamFisher25 and the rest of the boys who helped me out. #gosaints #mystkilda
