A CREATIVE St Kilda fan will see his idea come to life when the Saints open the 2014 season in the NAB Challenge match against the Western Bulldogs at Simonds Stadium in a new-look guernsey.

More than 550 supporters ranging from professional artists to primary school students entered the competition to design the jumper.

The six best designs as chosen by Saints selection panel were then voted on by supporters through saints.com.au, with the winning entry designed by Matt Smith.

Matt's design features the famous stick man figure that was used in the club's logo in the 1980s.

As reward for his design, Matt has won a few guernseys of his own and will also have the chance to have a photo taken in the guernsey with his favourite players.

Matt's design will feature in some pre-season games as well as the club's intra-club game this Saturday.

Guernsey's are available as a pre-sale from Friday, February 7 at
