ST KILDA has selected Amed Saad with pick 19 in this morning's Rookie Draft.
The small forward played 29 games with St Kilda in 2012 and 2013, before he tested positive for a substance that was banned only on game day.
Having been suspended for 18 months, the 25-year-old has been afforded a second chance by the Saints, who selected him with its second of four selections.
"We are delighted to get Ahmed back to the club," Acting Head of Football Ameet Bains told SAINTS.com.au.
"In his time away, he’s displayed the professional ability to keep himself AFL fit and convinced us that he is desperate to resurrect his AFL career."
