Hunter Clark and Ed Phillips will form part of the landmark journey to Alice Springs as St Kilda prepares for its battle against Melbourne on Saturday night.
The fresh-legged duo replaces Jack Bytel and Jake Carlisle (omitted) in what will be the club’s first clash for Premiership points in the Northern Territory.
Clark was rested ahead of last week’s match against the Lions, while Phillips, has been named in the starting 22 for the first time this year after coming in as a late replacement for Rounds 10 and 11.
Earlier this week, the hard-running wingman was taken to hospital after being struck in the eye by a stray Sherrin in the club’s scratch match against Melbourne.
Jack Lonie, Daniel McKenzie, Dylan Roberton and Jonathon Marsh have been named as emergencies.
St Kilda will go head-to-head with Melbourne on Saturday 28 August at TIO Traeger Park, with the opening bounce set for 7:40pm AEST.
