Molly McDonald and Bianca Jakobsson will both put their hands up for selection ahead of St Kilda’s Round 2 clash against the North Melbourne Tasmanian Kangaroos.
A quad injury forced McDonald to sit out last Friday’s season opener, but the silky left-footer has ticked all the boxes to potentially slot back into the line-up this Sunday.
Meanwhile, a freakishly fast recovery from a broken collarbone has Jakobsson in the selection frame to combat the Roos, fresh off an 11-goal blitz against Geelong.
The No. 8 injured her collarbone less than three weeks ago playing Carlton in a practice match at Ikon Park.
In other injury news, Olivia Vesely (calf) and Selena Karlson (shin) are at least a fortnight away from a senior return, while Tamara Luke (hamstring) should only be on ice for another one to two weeks.
Nicola Xenos is also expected to undergo surgery for her ruptured left ACL in the coming weeks.
