Georgia Patrikios’ stellar 2021 campaign has received its first league-wide accolade, with the 20-year-old midfielder selected in this year’s AFL Women’s All-Australian squad.
The reigning Best & Fairest pieced together a dazzling second season at the elite level, building upon her well-established midfield prowess, composure and silky skills.
Patrikios averaged 24 disposals per game – up from 16 in her debut season – and set a new club record for most touches in a game (30) in the final match of the year against West Coast.
The emerging on-baller also finished in the top-10 of the AFL Coaches’ Association AFLW Champion Player of the Year, charting as the youngest player on the esteemed list.
Patrikios was picked in last year’s All-Australian squad alongside teammate Caitlin Greiser, who made the final team after being named at full forward.
A final team of 21 players – including a captain and vice-captain – will be announced at the W Awards to be held on Tuesday 20th April.
