This is Andy Brehm, he moved to Australia from Germany in 2019 and soon fell in love with the Saints.
It was tough for Andy at the start, with homesickness and a language-barrier making it difficult for him to connect with people, while the shift in culture led him to consider moving back home.
However, a visit to RSEA Park changed all of that.
“On 23rd February, the Saints had a practice match at RSEA, which was my first experience with footy and I instantly fell in love!” Andy wrote.
“From that day I knew footy and the Saints would become a part of my life. After the perfect start to the 2019 season, I wanted to connect even more and got a Saints tattoo.
“Even after we lost games, I still went to every single match and never stopped supporting. You really helped me through a rough time."
Unfortunately, Andy will be moving back to Germany in June, but he won’t be going back empty-handed - taking with him a Saints guernsey signed by all the players.
Good luck Andy, you'll always be welcome at Linton St.
