Brad Crouch is this week’s Dare Sainter of the Round following an impressive outing against his former side on Saturday night.
While there’s no avoiding the fact that Saturday’s capitulation against Adelaide was disappointing in every sense, the staunch on-baller finished as a positive from the otherwise dour evening.
Crouch backed up his 38-disposal haul against Sydney with another high-numbers display in the tropics, closing out the night with 36 disposals (19 contested), six tackles, five clearances and a goal.
Thirty of his touches were collected between the arcs, with his distribution to teammates by hand helping drive the Saints into attack throughout the game.
Despite missing the opening two rounds of 2021, Crouch’s high accumulation has him second only to Jack Steele in terms of St Kilda's total disposals this season.
Saturday night also marked Crouch’s fourth game this season with 30 touches or more, as well as his fourth with a goal to boot.
Co-captain Jack Steele secures the two votes after yet another commendable display through the middle.
It’s been the exact same story for the skipper week on week, with his output – regardless of the eventual outcome – rarely faltering across four quarters.
Thirty-six disposals (19 contested), 12 tackles and nine clearances were to his name by the final siren, but it was his ferocity and drive to keep his team in the hunt which was most valuable.
Jack Sinclair rounds out this week's voting, with the No. 35 again resolute in defence.
The freshly minted backman continued his impressive form with 24 disposals and a goal on the quarter-time siren, providing clean use both in space and in the clinches.
Sinclair now moves to equal-second on the Dare Iced Coffee Sainter of the Round leaderboard alongside Crouch.
