What is the weekly commitment to undertake the course?
Students will have a weekly timetable of four days a week. The course runs between Holmesglen’s Moorabbin Campus and St Kilda’s state-of-the-art facilities at RSEA Park.
What qualifications will I graduate with?
Students who complete the course will graduate with a Dual Diploma of Sport (SIS50321) and Event Management (SIT50322). Students also gain additional qualifications by completing certain courses, including:
- First Aid
- Sports Trainer
- Foundation Coaching Course
What are the career outcomes and pathways for this course?
Previously we have seen students gain employment with St Kilda Football Club, Sandringham Dragons and other industry leaders. These roles include:
- Sport Administration
- Sport Operations
- Coaching
- Event Management
- Game Development Office (GDO)
- Sport Sales Representative
- Option to do further study at Holmesglen and complete a Bachelor of Sport Business or Bachelor of Sport Media
What placement opportunity will I have access to?
We offer a range of placement opportunities within the St Kilda Football Club and other Club Partners. These roles include AFL and AFLW gameday roles, coaching opportunities, event management opportunities such as Spud’s Lunch/Trevor Barker Awards and plenty more.
Can I complete the course online?
We value face to face and hands on learning to best facilitate the course, therefore we do not offer online modules.

How many intakes are available each year?
We offer two intakes for students to join the course each year. Semester 1 in February and Semester 2 in July.
What is the cost to undertake the course?
Current fees for the program can be viewed here. Access to VET Student Loans is available to those who could not afford to pay upfront. If you wish to apply for VET Student Loan for your qualification, please discuss the eligibility and entry requirements with staff at the Student Information Office at your nearest campus. Please note there is an activities fee for which details can be sources via the above link.
What are the entry requirements?
The course is direct entry and does not require a scored ATAR. The process to apply consists of an interview with representatives from Holmesglen and St Kilda as well as a Language, Literacy, and Numeracy (LL&N) assessment for suitability. If you wish to apply for a Student Loan you must demonstrate competence in the ACSF at or above Exit Level 3 (working at level 4). For further information, please click here.
