After an illustrious playing career at the club which cemented his name as a St Kilda legend, Nick Dal Santo will add another chapter to his story at the Saints as the head coach of the club’s AFLW side.
The club legend returned to the fold in 2017 as the head coach of the Saints’ Next Generation Academy and father-son program and brings an elite-level experience to St Kilda’s women’s side.
Dal Santo played 260 games for the Saints between 2002 and 2013, earning three All Australian selections, before retiring on 322 games while with North Melbourne.
The 37-year-old was one of St Kilda's leading midfielders throughout the 2000s, forming part of a dominant on-ball brigade alongside the likes of Lenny Hayes, Robert Harvey and Leigh Montagna.
The Bendigo-bred midfielder would appear in the 2009 and 2010 Grand Finals for the club, as well as finishing second in the 2011 Brownlow Medal and third during the 2005 count.
As well as his role as AFLW head coach, Dal Santo will also continue as the Pura NGA Head Coach and Community Football Ambassador with the club.
