St Kilda has confirmed just the one new inclusion leading into Sunday afternoon’s match against Hawthorn at the MCG.
Debutant Marcus Windhager will join fellow Indigenous teammates Bradley Hill, Paddy Ryder, Ben Long, Jade Gresham, Nasiah Wanganeen-Milera and Jarrod Lienert in making Saints history, with this weekend’s game seeing a club-record seven Indigenous players feature in the side.
Jack Higgins (concussion) and Jack Hayes (omitted) make way for Windhager, with last week’s medical sub, Long, picked in the starting line-up for Round 4.
Hayes, Ryan Byrnes, Leo Connolly and Tom Highmore have been named as emergencies.
VFL affiliate Sandringham will play a curtain-raiser against Box Hill at the MCG earlier in the afternoon, beginning at 12:00pm.
St Kilda will go toe-to-toe with Hawthorn on Sunday 10 April in the hopes of securing its third consecutive win of the season, with the opening bounce in for 3:20pm.
IN: Windhager (debut)
OUT: Hayes (omitted), Higgins (injured)
