The fans have spoken, and as voted by you, Josh Battle is this week's Dare Iced Coffee Sainter of the Round.
While Essendon took centre-stage on Friday night to leave the Saints in their wake, Battle refused to drop his head and fought against the Bombers' tall stocks right until the final siren.
The 23-year-old finished the evening with 14 disposals, nine marks and nine intercepts, with senior coach Brett Ratten pointing to him as one of the few on-field positives in a performance otherwise dominated by the visitors.
Battle's permanent move to defence has seen the young Saint piece together his most influential season to date, charting in the top-three for St Kilda's marks (89), spoils (26) and intercept marks (28) after 13 matches.
It's the third time Battle has received a Dare Iced Coffee Sainter of the Round nomination in 2022 following impressive displays against Fremantle (Round 2) and GWS (Round 6).
Two votes go to Jade Gresham, who helped drag his side back into the contest during the Saints' early burst after the main break.
Gresham collected 28 disposals and three goals by the final siren, finishing the game strongly with two of his majors coming in the last term.
The No. 4 ended the night as one of St Kilda's leading players for disposals (28), meters gained (524) and clearances (four).
Tim Membrey rounds out the votes for this week, with the key forward's influence instead coming from his work in defensive end.
The co-vice captain was swung back as Essendon threatened to extend its advantage during its damaging second quarter, cutting off several forward forays to register nine marks, four of which were intercept marks.
