St Kilda’s blind team has bounced back from its first loss in over a year with an emphatic 77-point victory over the Bulldogs last weekend.
Having gone down to the Dogs the week before, ending their 16-game winning streak, the Saints came out of the blocks firing by kicking the first four goals of the game.
From there, Shannon Jones and his side did not let up, holding a solid lead throughout the match to close out the Dogs with a professional performance.
Ingrid McKenna was a standout down back for her side, while Kate Aarons and Kadek Artayana were dangerous going forward.
They will now face the Bombers on Saturday at the Action Indoor Sports Stadium in Tullamarine from 12PM.
Meanwhile, St Kilda’s VWFL team will play its first game in almost a month next week as it takes on Richmond at Boroondara Sports Complex the following Sunday.
With games taking place fortnightly, and the Saints having the bye last round, Ryan Smith and Nathan Wilburn’s side will be chomping at the bit to return to the court.
