Sandringham senior coach and St Kilda development coach Paul Hudson runs a ruler over the individual performance of the Saints-listed players following Sunday's semi-final win.
MATCH REPORT: Zebras pip Pies
Tom Simpkin
Tom played another really good game. He doesn’t get lots of the ball but gee whiz, when he goes near it he makes an impact.
Cameron Shenton
Cam was tremendous. He played predominantly on the wing and through the midfield but also managed to have three scoring shots. He played with that presence and took the game on.
Darren Minchington
Darren contributed across the board. In the last quarter he stood up and impacted with some tackles and six disposals. He got better as the game went on.
Daniel Markworth
I was really pleased for Daniel because he had a bruised foot from the week before and did everything possible to get himself up for the game. He played mostly on the wing and also drifted forward at times.
Tom Curren
Tom didn’t have a touch in the first quarter after missing the last three months with a broken leg. But as the game progressed he improved. He had nine touches in the third quarter and another nine in the fourth term. He’ll be better for the run.
Eli Templeton
Eli had a consistent game without really damaging the opposition. He played forward/wing and I’m looking forward to him taking another step up next week.
Brodie Murdoch
Brodie played a pretty solid game at half-back and through the midfield. He often uses it well and has a really penetrating left foot.
Arryn Siposs
Arryn got a knock early in the game but played on and was really important for us. His use of the ball was terrific, especially via foot.
Josh Saunders
Josh was a little under the weather Friday night so as a result had a quiet game on Saturday. In saying this, his work through the midfield was important and we’re confident he will be back to his best in the preliminary final.
Daniel McKenzie
Dan wasn’t that influential but it is quite scary as to what he might produce. He only had 12 touches but he is so good above his head, he has leg speed and he tackles. We’d like to see him pushing forward a bit more and getting himself into dangerous positions closer to goal.
Lewis Pierce
Lewis kicked a goal and started the game forward. He competed well in the ruck and had a good match.
Jason Holmes
Jason played a bit more in the ruck than Lewis and had a solid game.
Ahmed Saad
Ahmed presented well and worked up the ground. He hit the scoreboard and got better as the game went on.
