Anthony Caminiti has signed his first contract extension with St Kilda, putting pen to paper on a three-year deal that will see him at the Saints until at least the end of 2026.
Joining the club via the pre-season Supplemental Selection Period less than six weeks before Round 1, the 19-year-old has formed an important part of St Kilda’s forward line, particularly when it was hit by widespread injuries.
Caminiti has kicked nine majors from his six senior appearances, four of which were multiple goal outings.
“We’re thrilled to have Anthony commit to the Saints,” Acting General Manager of Football David Misson said.
“Despite his very short time at the club, he has made an immediate impression with his work ethic and drive, as well as his commitment to team-first behaviours.
“We look forward to seeing him grow even further over the next three years.”
Caminiti, who prior to being signed was juggling two hospitality jobs, university and VFL commitments for Carlton, said he was still “over the moon”.
“I’m still pinching myself, it’s unbelievable. I’m so blessed and I’ve been so lucky to have so much support around me with my family, friends and the club,” Caminiti said.
“I’ve had a bit of luck along the way, but I hope it’s also been a testament to my hard work and dedication. A few things have fallen into place, but it’s still unbelievable.
“I’m looking forward to the next three years and can’t wait to see what the future holds.”
