As many as nine new faces could feature for St Kilda’s AFLW side this weekend as the red, white and black readies for its season opener against North Melbourne at Blundstone Arena.

AFLW debutant Beth Pinchin is a confirmed starter for Sunday afternoon after joining the club via the supplementary draft last April, while All-Australian trade recruits Jesse Wardlaw and Jaimee Lambert have also been named on-field.

Steph Chiocci, Serene Watson, Natalie Plane, Maddie Boyd and untried Saint Caitlin Matthews have been selected on the extended interchange, which will be reduced to five plus an additional three emergencies tomorrow evening.

After injury cut her debut campaign as a Saint short in 2022, Grace Kelly will take to the field in Saints colours for the first time, accompanied by the returning Tyanna Smith, who missed two full seasons recovering from an ACL injury.

St Kilda’s final team to take on North Melbourne will be confirmed tomorrow evening at 5:00pm.
