Two young Saints will be available for selection for this weekend's match against Essendon.
Renee Saulitis will be in line for selection for the first time since rupturing her ACL, while J’Noemi Anderson will also be on the cards for a first-up appearance in 2023.
Saulitis had her latest season cut short after unknowingly injuring her knee during a practice match against Carlton, only discovering the extent of the setback some weeks later.
“Renee’s work ethic and dedication to her rehabilitation over the past 12 months has been exceptional," General Manager of AFLW Tessie McManus said.
"She’s come back stronger and more than determined than before and we know whenever it comes, Renee will tackle her opportunity at senior level head-on and we look forward to seeing her back in action shortly.”
Meanwhile, Anderson is expected to be available for selection after she was ruled out of Sunday’s match against North Melbourne with a corked calf.
In other injury news, Rebecca Ott remains on track as she recuperates from an Achilles injury.
