Jaimee Lambert has closed out her first season at St Kilda as the club's highest vote-getter in the AFL Coaches' Association AFLW Champion Player of the Year Award, ending the year inside the competition's top 15 players.
Lambert, who finished runner-up for the same award in the abridged 2020 AFLW Season, polled 41 votes in 2023, receiving recognition in seven of her appearances in red, white and black as the final two rounds' votes were revealed today.
The three-time Best & Fairest averaged a touch under 19 disposals, six tackles and five clearances per game - charting inside St Kilda's top-three in each metric - to finish clear of the Saints' next best, fellow recruit Jesse Wardlaw (26 votes).
A perfect 10 votes in the final game of the season from Georgia Patrikios moved her into equal-third on the Saints' tally alongside Tyanna Smith (both 23 votes), with 14 of Patrikios' 23 votes coming from the final two games of the season against Brisbane and Carlton.
Olivia Vesely (12 votes) rounded out the club's top-five, with Hannah Priest (eight), Nat Exon (five) and Nicola Xenos (three) all featuring in the votes throughout the course of the season.
