Ash Richards, J'Noemi Anderson and Hannah Stuart have each penned two-year contract extensions with St Kilda, tying them to the club until at least the end 2025.
Richards’ emergence throughout 2023 was a particular highlight as the Saints pushed towards a maiden finals berth, earning the club’s Best Emerging Player Award as part of last week's Best & Fairest celebrations.
Anderson also took notable strides forward in what was her second season at the highest level, with her pressure inside-50, tackling and confidence only growing as the year progressed.
Meanwhile, Stuart’s follow-up to a blistering debut season was cut short in Round 2 with an innocuous but season-ending ACL injury. Despite being on the sidelines currently, the inside midfielder is firming towards an influential return in the coming months.
“J’Noemi, Ash and Hannah each had such different seasons this year, but all showed us exactly why they’re an asset to our club,” Executive General Manager of AFLW Tessie McManus said.
“In her second season with us, J’Noemi experienced a lot of firsts, notching up her first win and kicking her first goal.
“Ash really took her game to a new level this season, which was recognised with the Best Emerging Player Award at our recent Best & Fairest.
“While Hannah’s season was cut short due to injury, her influence on the leadership of our group remains incredibly valuable.
“We’re so pleased to have J’Noemi, Ash and Han all on board for the next two years.”
St Kilda will now look to finalise its playing list through the AFLW Draft on Monday 18 December.
