Saints great Ross Smith with John Moran Loyalty Award winners Joseph Dooley and Anne-Maree Smith.

St Kilda has celebrated Joseph Dooley and Anne-Maree Smith as winners of the John Moran Loyalty Award for 2023 and 2024 respectively.

Established in 2004 in honour of the late John Moran, a St Kilda Life Member and former No.1 ticketholder, the John Moran Loyalty Award recognises volunteers who have displayed selfless service to the club.

Dooley was awarded for his long-spanning and tireless work with the St Kilda cheersquad.

Having joined the group in 2004, Dooley was elected as a member of the cheersquad's leadership group in 2017.

He has managed the weekly banner-making for the Saints' AFL games over the past 10 years, working with his team to assemble almost 400 banners in that time and travel to interstate games.

Smith became the latest recipient of the award for her outstanding leadership as coordinator of the Tasmanian Saints Supporter Group.

Established more than 20 years ago, the Tassie Saints was named fan group of the year across the AFL in 2023.

The group does a power of work to make St Kilda's Tasmanian-based members feel connected to the club, organising annual trips to Melbourne and running pre- and post-game functions when the Saints play in the Apple Isle.

Since 2019, it has raised more than $20k to sponsor St Kilda players Jimmy Webster, Marcus Windhager and Nat Exon, while also having a plaque on one of the seats in the Danny Frawley Centre Grandstand at RSEA Park.

In last year's content series Joey's Road Trip, Leigh Montagna and Nick Riewoldt headed to Tasmania to catch up with Smith and learn more about her incredible passion for the Saints, which you can watch below.
