Debutant Emmelie Fiedler has been confirmed as St Kilda’s only change for Sunday’s match-up against Essendon as the Saints aim for three consecutive wins to open 2024.

Fiedler comes into the team in place of Simone Nalder (omitted) for the weekend's bout at Windy Hill, with the latter joining Nat Plane and Maddie Boyd as emergencies.

Beginning her senior career at Fremantle last season, Fiedler landed at St Kilda two months ago as an injury replacement player before getting the nod for a long-awaited debut yesterday. 

The 187cm ruck is the fourth new Saint to feature this season following fellow AFLW debutant Charlotte Simpson and club first-gamers Paige Trudgeon and Rene Caris.

St Kilda and Essendon will lock horns on Sunday 15 September at Windy Hill at 3:05pm, with the match to be broadcast on Channel 7, Fox Footy & Kayo.
