The Saints are entering their Mental Fitness Era!

Ahead of this week's inaugural AFLW Spud's Game, take a look and see how our Saints look after themselves and their mental fitness and how you can use these in your own day-to-day!

Olivia Vesely

Running and reading keep me mentally fit! I ring my friends if I need a pep-up and love heading to the beach to do mindful breathing in the water.

Bianca Jakobsson

I meditate daily to help with my focus, journal every day and ensure I have tech-free times where I am walking in nature and being mindful of my surroundings.

Hannah Priest

Outdoors, sunshine, fresh air and physical activity. Get amongst it!

Ash Richards

Do things that relax me like painting, reading and spending time with family away from technology and social media.

Ella Friend

I try get home and spend as much time with my family and friends as possible as it helps me to reset and just being around good people having a laugh.

Nicola Stevens

Spending time with friends and family, connecting with nature, reading, fitting in a yoga class and spending time away from my phone.

Jesse Wardlaw

Time in nature, ocean swims, call family and friends and have a good balance between life, footy, uni and filling my cup.

Georgia Patrikios

Having meaningful conversations with people I trust, doing meditation when I’m feeling uneasy and doing some visualisation before big moments.

Simone Nalder

Having an active and healthy lifestyle is so important for my mental fitness. I also use mindfulness and journaling daily.

Serene Watson

Daily self-care and taking the time out for myself to do something I love.

Steph Chiocci

Utilising our Club psychologist Bree as well as speaking to a wonderful psychiatrist, Dr Ranjit Menon. Reading, walking the dogs and getting a weekly massage are also great.

Emmelie Fiedler

Recovery, disconnecting from footy by spending time with loved ones and drawing that line between work and family.

Rene Caris

Sleep is super important to me, I like to set my room up with a nice candle, nice lighting and watching a TV show.

Charlotte Simpson

Regular catch ups with my psych, talking about what’s going on to my family.

Alice Burke

I’ll see a psych and also do a lot of gratitude exercises.

Beth Pinchin

Getting out in nature, going to the beach, playing golf, reading and crocheting.
