Kiera Whiley will make her AFLW debut tomorrow night as the Saints take on GWS at Kinetic Stadium for mid-week footy in Frankston.

Taken at pick No. 10 overall at last year's draft, the 19-year-old was scouted as one of the most consistent and dependable on-ballers in last year’s draft class following a powerful season at the Western Jets as club skipper.

Donning one of St Kilda’s most famous numbers, the newest Saint to pull on the famed No. 4 has been described as a ball-hungry, natural footballer who does the basics well.

Coach Nick Dal Santo shared the good news with the group during the squad’s team meeting on Sunday in preparation for their tight, four-day turnaround between games.

“We’ve really enjoyed seeing Kiera’s growth since she arrived at Moorabbin,” EGM of AFLW Tessie McManus said.

“It’s an exciting opportunity for both Kiera and the club as we fight to keep our season alive.”

Whiley, St Kilda's fifth debutant this season, will look to provide some added grunt to the Saints' engine room as they look answer to their third loss in a row after a 3-0 start to the 2024 season.

St Kilda will name its full team to face GWS tonight at 6:20pm AEST.
