St Kilda Football Club is pleased to confirm the appointment of Brendon Bolton and Jared Rivers as assistant coaches for Season 2025.

Arriving from Collingwood after a three-year tenure as Director of Coaching, Bolton formed a critical part in the Magpies’ premiership success in 2023, refining and overseeing the execution of the club’s strategy which culminated in their 16th flag.

Prior to his three seasons at Collingwood, Bolton served as Carlton’s senior coach between 2016-2019 in-between two separate stints at Hawthorn which netted a further three AFL premierships.

Meanwhile, Rivers steps back into the coaching caper at AFL level after four seasons at Collegians Football Club in the VAFA A Grade competition, which came complete with premiership honours in 2023.

Prior to his appointment at Collegians in 2020, the 194-gamer between Melbourne and Geelong served as development coach and later VFL coach of Collingwood between 2015-2019.

The latest additions to St Kilda’s coaching panel follow the confirmation of Brendon Goddard assuming the role as VFL Senior Coach of Sandringham, in tandem with a development coaching role at St Kilda.

“We’re very pleased to have Brendon and Jared join our coaching ranks for next season,” EGM Football David Misson said.

“Brendon and Jared each come from well-respected organisations and have played pivotal parts in their respective successes, and we hope their experience will help push the club further in the direction we’re striving towards.

“We believe Brendon and Jared will perfectly complement our current coaches in Ross Lyon, Corey Enright, Robert Harvey, Damian Carroll, Brendon Goddard and Lenny Hayes and we are excited to see them get to work this pre-season.”

St Kilda’s coaching structure for 2025 will be confirmed in the coming weeks.
