A decision has been made on a number of key Saints as Nicola Xenos (heel), Steph Chiocci (ACL), Georgia Patrikios (foot) and untried defender Caitlin Matthews (knee) have all been ruled out for the remainder of the 2024 season.

“Whilst these have all been difficult decisions to make, ruling these players out now will allow them to place their full attention on their rehab,” EGM AFLW Tessie McManus said. 

Meanwhile, the Saints will look to gain back artillery at either end of the ground as forward Nat Exon (ribs) and key defender Rebecca Ott (tibia) have both made fast progressions in their respective return to play timelines with the pair eyeing off a Round 9 return.

“Nat and Bec are no strangers to hard work when it comes to returning from injury. Seeing them both hit their final stages before returning to full training is a true testament to their strength and determination.”
