Senior Coach Nick Dal Santo will continue at the helm of St Kilda’s AFLW team, signing a fresh two-year extension which will see him through until the end of the 2026 season.
Having just capped off his fourth season as senior coach of the women’s program, Dal Santo has demonstrated an undeniable ability to drive growth, development, and incremental gains within his squad throughout his 41-game tenure.
After a strong start to the 2024 season, a maiden finals berth remains a key focus for Dal Santo and his Saints. The former three-time All-Australian, who previously coached St Kilda’s Next Generation Academy and the Father-Son program, has been backed in to continue in the top job.
“Nick has been pivotal in growing our program into the elite environment it is today,” EGM AFLW Tessie McManus said.
“The team loves being coached by him and the connection he has with not only our players but our staff right across the business exemplifies his character and demonstrates his passion for the club.
“While this season didn’t deliver the on-field results we were hoping for, we firmly believe Nick is the best fit for this role and we are excited to see where he leads the team next season.”
The rest of Saints’ AFLW coaching lineup will be finalised in the lead up to the 2025 season.
