St Kilda development coach and Sandringham assistant Paul Hudson spoke to SAINTS.com.au about every player who took the field for Sandringham in its 44-point win over Collingwood on Saturday.

Beau Maister
Beau competed hard again. Much like Sippo, he didn't kick accurately but he still managed to boot two goals and he gave us some good structure in the forward 50. Together with Rhys, Beau was quite isolated deep and it worked for us.

Trent Dennis-Lane
I was just looking at his GPS results and he blew them through the roof. So for him to come back after an injury layoff and work that hard was tremendous. He had about a dozen touches and although he didn't convert, it was pleasing to see him get in positions to his the scoreboard.

TDL played the role we asked him to play this week. We wanted him to play a bit higher up the ground and then roll back, and he did this well.

Sam Dunell
Sammy had a strange game. He ended up kicking four and could have easily booted a few more as well. He took eight marks and took his opportunities with the possessions that he had. On the whole, Sammy was really good across the board for us on Saturday and he kicked straight too.

Darren Minchington
Darren was up and about. He had almost 20 possessions and kicked the one behind, but his best asset was how he was able to cause some really important turnovers for us and got the ball going our way. The intensity and enthusiasm he showed was first class too, and his leg speed was a lot higher.

Dylan Roberton
Dyl was solid down back again but probably wasn't as attacking as we would have liked him to be. Defensively he was very good though and we moved him onto Alex Fasolo who was looking dangerous after kicking a couple of goals.

Tom Curren
Tommy came back and looked immediately comfortable in the midfield. He ended with about 30 possessions for the game and got himself into good positions to be used around the ground. Some of his disposals are kicks under pressure, so I'd like to see him get a bit more purchase on his kicks but to come back to play the way he did - and his attitude - was really good.

Arryn Siposs
Sippo is a bit of an enigma. He had 16 touches playing at half forward for us and pushing up a little bit higher as well. He kicked one goal from six scoring shots and just didn't finish off his good work. So I think I'm going to spend a bit of time with him this week so he can get the rewards he deserves in his next game. He took some nice marks, including a really strong contested grab at the top of the 50 which showed his class and strength.

James Gwilt
Jimmy was definitely in our best couple of players. He was in control for the entire game in defence and we didn't have to swing him forward this week. The most pleasing part was when his opponent went high up the ground, Jimmy followed him and won plenty of his 22 possessions up on the wing which was great for us.

Rhys Stanley
Rhys was a good target for us up forward. He took five marks but probably could have taken five more. The thing that I liked about Rhys's game were his second and third efforts. His forward pressure was excellent and even when he dropped a mark he was back cracking in. So although he didn't have a lot of stats, he put on good pressure and kicked a couple of goals for us.

Lewis Pierce
His GPS was really good, in fact it was the best it has been this season. His ability to run and get involved, follow up and even with the ground ball, were all really good. It was great to see and he's really improved in all facets of the game.

Daniel Markworth
Marky played predominantly on the wing. He played his role within the side and that tends to happen sometimes when the ball doesn't roll out your side of the stoppage as much, but he continued to work hard and although he got caught napping on team defence a couple of times, he rectified this later with some really solid physical efforts on his opponent.

Shane Savage
This was probably the best game Shane has played for Sandringham. We started him at half back and then he moved into the midfield, but it didn't matter where he was playing because his ball use was excellent. His disposal efficiency was up and it allowed us to rebound efficiently and cleanly.

Jason Holmes
Piercey and Holmesy took on Ben Hudson and they did a very good job. Jason's tap-work was again fantastic. He has such a huge leap and it's pretty rare that he loses a hit out. Yet the most pleasing part of Holmesy's game was that he had 10 possessions, which is well up on his output in previous weeks. Each week he shows something and keeps improving.

DEVELOPMENT TEAM
Sam Fisher
Chips only played half the game and got through it fine. He did what he needed to do and finished with 14 possessions in two quarters of footy, playing mostly in defence.

Spencer White
Spencer started forward and was misjudging his marks slightly so he moved up into the midfield and did well competing in the ruck.
