Logan Austin will have shoulder surgery this week, ruling him out for an extended period of time.
The key defender dislocated his left shoulder in an incident at training late last week, and will undergo surgery tomorrow to repair the joint.
General Manager of Football Simon Lethlean said it was a disappointing result for the 23-year-old.
“It’s a frustrating outcome for Logan after doing a lot of work to get himself fit after a groin issue in the pre-season,” he said.
“But surgery is best option to repair the damage to the joint and ultimately set him up for the rest of his career.”
