St Kilda advises Jimmy Webster will be sidelined for the next two weeks following surgery on his right hand today.
Webster will undergo a procedure to remove a plate that was inserted in 2017 after receiving a knock in the Saints’ round 7 match against Greater Western Sydney two weeks ago.
“Scans have shown no fracture, but that the knock Jimmy received against the Giants has aggravated an area where the metal plate and screws sit,” GM of Football Simon Lethlean said.
“The injury hasn’t settled over the past week so the best option now is to remove the plate, which will allow Jimmy the chance to return after the mid-season break.”
