St Kilda midfielder Seb Ross has been rewarded for his impressive performance against West Coast on Saturday night with six votes from Alan Richardson and Adam Simpson.

West Coast midfielder Luke Shuey and half-back Elliot Yeo collected the most AFL Coaches Association votes, with nine and seven votes respectively, following their efforts in the Eagles 19-point win at Domain Stadium.

Ross, 23, played an important role on Brownlow medallist Sam Mitchell, nullifying the champion midfielders influence while also collecting a team-high 29 possessions, 484 metres gained and 60.2 pressure points in Perth.

Versatile defender Dylan Roberton also earned some recognition from the coaches, receiving three votes for his effort in defence.

Monday Wash-Up: Round 2 v West Coast

The Saints leader gathered 26 disposals, eight marks, seven intercepts, five rebound 50s and accumulated 421 metres of gained territory to be one of St Kilda’s best performers in the west.

After two rounds, Essendon midfielder Zach Merrett and Port Adelaide midfielder Ollie Wines lead the way on 18 votes, ahead of Melbourne young gun Clayton Oliver (17 votes) and West Coast utility Elliot Yeo (15 votes).
