The St Kilda Football Club has today confirmed initial changes to its playing list ahead of the 2017 list-lodgement deadline.
Rookie listed player Nick Coughlan and international scholarship holder Joe Baker-Thomas have not been offered new contracts for the 2018 season.
Coughlan was selected at pick 23 in the 2015 Rookie Draft from the Murray Bushrangers.
After showing promise in his debut season playing with Sandringham in the VFL, Coughlan endured a frustrating 2017 season following foot and hamstring injuries.
Chief Operating Officer Ameet Bains thanked the 20-year-old for his commitment over the past two years.
“Nick displayed a high level of professionalism in his time at the Saints. We thank him for his contribution to the club and wish him well in his future
Baker-Thomas was recruited from his native New Zealand in 2013 via an International Scholarship, making him the first ever international recruit to the Saints.
“For Joe to move here at such a young age was significant and he should be proud of how far his football has come,” Bains said.
“We wish Joe well for the future.”
