Lewis’ long-time best mate and Coleman Medalist Jarryd Roughead is looking forward to playing alongside his good friend against the Saints.
“He’s one of my best mates for sure,” Roughead said.
“We’ve come through together and this is our 10th year - to play in his 200th this week is not only good for the side, but good for him too.”

Roughead was complimentary of the midfielder’s influence in what has proved to be a star-studded team over the past six years.“He’s one of the more important blokes who’s been able to play consistent and stay on the park,” Roughead said.
“To be able to play in two flags and 200 games at age 28 is a good effort.”

Though excited about playing 200th game, Lewis said the focus this week for Hawthorn was on the team continuing to learn and implement the lessons drawn from the club’s loss to Geelong.“We had a hiccup against Geelong last week but it was a really good game to take stock and see where we’re at,” Lewis said.
“Last week was a really big learning curve for us, we’ve changed a few things and we applied those on the weekend against Richmond and they worked, but we need to see if they work over three or four weeks.”
