SANDRINGHAM vs GEELONG
Where: Trevor Barker Beach Oval
When: Sunday, August 22
Time: 2pm
Entry: Free for St Kilda members
Last week:
Sandringham secured its fifth consecutive win with a 45-point victory over the Northern Blues at Ikon Park.
Comparatively, Geelong went down to the Box Hill Hawks by 50 points at Simonds Stadium.
Players to watch:
Sandringham – Lewis Pierce
Pierce finds himself in the position of number one ruckman for the Zebras on Sunday, a rarity given the 2015 form of Jason Holmes and Tom Hickey. With both Holmes and Hickey in the St Kilda line-up, Pierce has a big opportunity to assert his influence.
Geelong – Dawson Simpson
39 hit outs, nine tackles and four marks for Simpson last week showed just how dominant he can be. The 209cm giant will be looking to take advantage against Sandringham on Sunday and carry on his strong form.
