St Kilda has congratulated Next Generation Academy graduate Bigoa ‘Biggie’ Nyuon on his selection by Richmond in the AFL Draft.
The Saints chose not to match the Tigers’ bid on the 18-year-old but List Manager James Gallagher said the Saints wished Nyuon all the best in AFL career.
“We have watched really closely as Biggie has developed over the past two years and supported that development through our NGA’s elite talent group,” Gallagher said.
“Ultimately we chose not to match Richmond’s bid at that stage of the draft but wish him and his family all the best as his AFL career begins.
“His selection is great recognition of the work done by Biggie, along with Jack Henty who oversees our NGA Program, and the other coaches involved through our talent pathway.
“The strength of our NGA will hopefully uncover more really talented indigenous and multicultural young men and women, who in turn can inspire a whole new generation of Saints in the years to come.”
