Georgia Patrikios has impressed many in her first three games of AFLW, and the star young Saint is taking inspiration from those around her.
Patrikios was selected with pick No.5 in the 2019 NAB AFLW Draft and already has a NAB AFLW Rising Star nomination under her belt.
She's a key part of St Kilda's midfield, and revealed to the Credit to the Girls podcast just how much work went into matching up against Melbourne's Karen Paxman and Elise O'Dea in the Saints' emotional win on Friday night.
"I've been watching them since season one of AFLW and just the way they go about it is just unreal. To be able to play up against them was pretty special as well," Patrikios said.
"Throughout the week, we watched a lot of Karen Paxman and how she goes about it and just trying to learn off her a bit. They're all pretty special to play against, it was a bit of a challenge, but I think we held our own pretty well.
"In our reviews, we go through the players and what their strengths are, and just try to learn off them as best we can. I think that'll be better for us moving forward, watching how they play."
Patrikios also spoke about playing with St Kilda's other Rising Star nominee, key forward Caitlin Greiser, who starred with two goals in round three.
"She's a really exciting player. She hasn't played for very long, but you can just tell she's going to be a star," Patrikios said.
