At a glance:
- Caitlin Greiser has been named at full forward in the 2020 AFLW All Australian team.
- The 21-year-old topped the AFLW goalkicking for the year.
- 'G-Train' also secured a Rising Star nomination and two Goal of the Year nominations.
Caitlin 'G-Train' Greiser has followed in her namesake's footsteps having been named as the All Australian full forward.
The selection caps off a remarkable debut season for the young Saint, who only switched codes from her budding soccer career in mid-2018.
Fellow Rising Star nominee and gun Saint Georgia Patrikios couldn't squeeze into the star-studded midfield, but her inclusion in the All Australian squad is testament to her talent.
Even despite VFLW Team of the Year honours in 2019, no-one could have predicted just how much Greiser would take the AFLW world by storm in Season 2020.
In the space of six games, the power forward secured league goalkicking honours, a NAB Rising Star nomination, two Goal of the Year nominations, and status as St Kilda’s newest cult hero, 'G-Train'.
Now, off the back of her chart-topping season, she can add All Australian to her growing list of accolades.

The former soccer star was a constant presence as the focal point of the Saints’ attack, showing time and time again how dangerous she was in the air and at ground level.
Whether it be a hurried snap from the pocket or a long roost from outside the arc, Greiser proved that opposition defenders couldn’t let her get loose for a second.
Her power around goal saw her finish as a multiple goalkicker on four occasions – a three-goal bag against Richmond the best of the bunch – while her ability to bring the ball to ground paved the way for the Saints’ small forwards to pounce.
Incredibly powerful in the air and armed with a lethal kick that could turn defences on their head, Greiser became the red, white and black’s most potent weapon going forward.
Her shows of strength and class were put into effect several times throughout the season, with her starring efforts confirming her as the fan-favourite ‘G-Train’.

But it was Round 3 against Melbourne that was truly her crowning moment.
Down by a point with five minutes left on the clock, some brilliance along the wing from Kate McCarthy saw the Sherrin plcuked one-handed by the G-Train 45m out.
As her teammates scrambled to present a shorter option, the key forward – tucked tight along the boundary – eyed up the goals, took a deep breath and backed herself in to make the 50m shot.

What followed next has gone down as one of the great moments in St Kilda's AFLW side's first chapter, with the siren sounding minutes later to mark the Saints’ maiden triumph.
G-Train’s incredible long-bomb was nominated for Goal of the Year, while her two-goal performance earned her a nomination of the NAB Rising Star.
If her match-winning efforts against Melbourne are anything to go by, Greiser is set to be a hero of Moorabbin for a long time to come.
She was there for her side’s biggest moment.
And she’ll be there for many more.
