ST KILDA has broken its highest pre-Christmas membership tally of 24,288 (set in late 2010) and is on track to reach its goal of having 25,000 by 25 December.
As of Friday lunchtime, the club membership tally is a healthy 24, 567.
Significantly, membership is up more 4,600 on this time last year.
St Kilda's membership staff are working overtime answering calls and responding to emails, and even the players have been involved, hosting a call session on Wednesday evening to sign new members and thank existing ones.
Social media has also been a big part of this successful drive towards 25,000 members, with St Kilda players encouraging fans to sign up via Twitter and Instagram.
With a touch more than 400 memberships still required to reach the magical 25 by 25 goal, the club is urging all St Kilda fans across Australia to phone a friend and get them to jump on board before Christmas.
