The long line of senior players yet to break into the line-up will seize the opportunity with both hands, particularly with VFL games out of the equation for Season 2020.
The scratch match will kick off at 11:00am on Saturday, 20 June at the Holden Centre.
Only AFL authorised personnel will be allowed entry.
For several Saints on the cusp of senior selection, this hit-out beckons as the perfect opportunity to crack back into the senior side.
Jimmy Webster and Dylan Roberton are eyeing off spots in St Kilda’s defensive end, alongside seasoned campaigners Nathan Brown and Shane Savage.
Dynamic forwards Dean Kent and Matty Parker will look to hit the scoreboard and showcase their damage in attack, while Luke Dunstan will be intent on slotting back into the red, white and black after missing Round 2.
Young talent Jack Bytel is also closing in on a senior berth, while draftee Ryan Byrnes has crept up as a potential 2020 debutant.
Carryover emergencies for Saturday’s clash at the MCG, Josh Battle and Jack Sinclair, will not take part in the scratch match.
