NICK Riewoldt, Leigh Montagna and Maverick Weller will all undergo fitness tests later this week to determine their availability for Sunday’s round five clash against Essendon.
UPDATED: Injury list
Riewoldt and Weller are both striving to recover from calf strains, while Montagna hasn’t played since round one due to a knee injury.
“Mav Weller fully trained today so that is exciting news,” Head physio Andrew Wallis told SAINTS.com.au.
“As long as he gets through Thursday, we expect that he will be available for selection this week.”

Meanwhile, Sam Gilbert suffered a minor setback in his return from a long-standing foot injury on the weekend, straining his groin playing for Sandringham’s development team.
“It was a little adductor muscle strain,” Wallis said.
“Hopefully it’s one or two weeks. We’d like to think he will only miss one.”

The 29-year-old will join Farren Ray and Seb Ross in recovering from soft tissue complaints, although the latter two are nearing a return from their hamstring injuries which required surgery.
“Farren will only miss the next two so he will play in three weeks time,” Wallis said.
“One week behind him is Seb Ross. Both boys are progressing well.”
Daniel Markworth is now just one month away from playing, while Arryn Siposs is listed as seven weeks.
