St Kilda will bid farewell to Jess Sedunary after the former Crow was traded back to her old side as part of a pick swap today.
The South Australian-born forward will return home after playing an instrumental role in the Saints’ historic first season.
The Saints received overall selection No. 34 for the tough goalkicker, while also sending selection No. 42 (received from the Blues) to the Crows.
Along with her playing commitments, Sedunary was part of St Kilda’s administration team as Female Participation Coordinator.
Head of Women’s Football Jamie Cox said the club wished Sedunary well in her return to South Australia.
“With everything that is going on at present, ‘Sedge’ has made the difficult decision to return home and live closer to family,” Cox said.
“Her impact at the Saints was significant in a short time and she was a much-loved member of our team who helped create a really strong culture.
"While disappointed to lose a person of her character, it was the right decision to facilitate a trade and allow her to remain in Adelaide.
The 29-year-old played four games for the red, white and black, adding to her 15 matches and Premiership honours from her time in Adelaide.
The Saints currently hold draft selections No. 6 (Vic 4), No. 22 (13), No. 34 (20) & No. 50 (29).
