Another four inaugural Saints have confirmed they will be at RSEA Park for at least another two seasons.

Tilly Lucas-Rodd, Hannah Priest, Rosie Dillon and Isabella Shannon take St Kilda’s re-signed players tally to 10, joining Georgia PatrikiosCaitlin Greiser and several other youngsters in putting pen to paper.

Priest and Lucas-Rodd became mainstays of the Saints’ defensive half, and were as important as any Saints as the club snared wins against Melbourne and Richmond before the season was cut short.

Lucas-Rodd so often went to the opposition’s best forward and did the job while Priest was one of the finds of the season, with the South Australian providing plenty of dash off half-back.

Dillon emerged as the season wore on, becoming one of the Saints’ key midfielders and showing her footy IQ time and again.

Shannon – the third player signed by the club – also became a core member of the starting line-up after making her debut in Round 3 against the Demons and is tipped to become a key playmaker in the coming years.

Head of Women’s Football Jamie Cox said the club was thrilled to have the contingent form an important cornerstone of St Kilda’s future.

“Having Tilly, Hannah, Rosie and Isabella recommit to the Saints is really important as we move forward,” Cox said.

They’re all quality players and will all play influential roles both on and off the field as our squad continues to develop.

“Tilly was an important leader from day one, but Rosie and Hannah also became important senior players over the course of the season.

“Isabella showed why the club signed her as an underage selection with glimpses of her talent, and we strongly believe she will reach her full potential in the coming years.”

Lucas-Rodd joined the Saints after two seasons with Carlton, while Dillon and Priest were taken with picks No. 24 and 41 respectively in the 2019 Women’s Draft after prominent state-level careers for Hawthorn and Norwood.

St Kilda’s future re-signings will be confirmed in the coming days.
