The fans have spoken, and as voted by you, Jack Steele is the Round 18 Dare Iced Coffee Sainter of the Round.
Steele’s monster home-and-away season came to a brilliant close in Friday’s 52-point dismantling of Greater Western Sydney, with his efforts helping deliver the club’s first finals berth in nine years.
The Trevor Barker Award frontrunner collected 18 disposals (14 contested), 10 clearances, nine score involvements and two goals as the Saints ran rampant in the second half with seven unanswered majors.
Steele got on the board with a classy snap thanks to some quick hands from Seb Ross, before his second – a dribbler at the goal-mouth – stuck the dagger in against his former side.
Friday’s masterclass marks the sixth time in 2020 Steele has taken out top-honours, surpassing Rowan Marshall’s five maximum-vote performances from last season.
Steele ends the season with 26 votes to his name on the Dare Iced Coffee Sainter of the Round leaderboard, 15 ahead of second-placed Dan Butler.
The No 9 is also in the running for his first Trevor Barker Award along with the AFL Players’ Association MVP and Most Courageous Player. The All-Australian squad, which Steele has made a compelling case to be a part of, will also be announced on Thursday night.

Two votes go to Paddy Ryder, whose tireless rucking display outmuscled the Giants from siren-to-siren.
The veteran ruckman only had six touches to his name, but packed a significant punch with a season-high 29 hit-outs (eight to advantage) and a goal to top it all off in the final term.
Ryder took advantage of a Jack Lonie rundown tackle to soccer through his maiden major, and also showed his round-ball skills with a clever Rabona kick from a boundary throw-in which landed in the lap of Jack Sinclair.
Rounding out this week’s voting is Rowan Marshall, who stood tall with an all-encompassing performance under lights.
The fan-favourite notched up 18 disposals (nine contested), seven marks, four clearances and a goal in his 50th game to be one of the most influential players on the field.
Marshall cashed in during the third term with eight touches, six marks and a goal, and like Ryder, showed his footy smarts in the opening term with a sliding intercept kick off the deck which fell into the waiting arms of Jack Billings.
His performance moves him into equal-third on the Sainter of the Round leaderboard alongside Ryder (eight votes).
