Ryan Byrnes will remain a Saint for at least another year after signing a contract extension with the club earlier this week.
The 19-year-old midfielder has played just one game for St Kilda, debuting in last season’s Round 7 clash against Adelaide.
“We’re really pleased to have Ryan re-sign with the club,” Head of List Management James Gallagher told saints.com.au.
“In the 12 months he has been with us, he has developed very nicely. He’s a terrific lad, very mature for his age, and the way he held himself in his debut year up in Queensland was impressive, especially through his outstanding performances in our practice matches.
Byrnes captained Sandringham Dragons in the NAB League before being drafted to the Saints with pick No. 52 in the 2019 National Draft.
