Hannah Priest is this week’s Dare Iced Coffee Sainter of the Round following Saturday night’s match against Melbourne.
While it was a challenging evening for the Saints at Casey Fields, the co-captain worked overtime in the defensive half to curb the Demons’ forward assault.
Priest collected a team-high 17 disposals alongside Cat Phillips and Georgia Patrikios, along with 10 intercepts and five marks to be best-on-ground for the red, white and black.
The No. 14 spent the opening half through the midfield, lining up at numerous centre bounces alongside the dangerous Karen Paxman, before slipping into the backline in the second to combat the forward threat of Daisy Pearce and Tyla Hanks.
Priest was last week one of the Saints’ most reliable contributors, again clocking up a mountain of work in the defensive end to stem the Crows’ run.
At the conclusion of Round 6, the 28-year-old leads St Kilda for marks (29), intercept possessions (42) and rebound-50s (22).
