The fans have spoken, and as voted by you, Hunter Clark is this week’s Dare Iced Coffee Sainter of the Round.
The classy youngster remained cool under the reigning Premiers’ pressure on Thursday night, collecting 33 disposals (14 contested), a game-high 13 ground-ball gets and nine intercepts.
Clark spent close to all of his evening in the defensive half, providing clean use out of defence as Richmond surged past St Kilda after quarter-time.
His composure late in the game similarly stood tall, with the No. 11 collecting 10 touches, three marks and three tackles in the final half-hour of play.
Clark often played as a spare man in defence, spending time on Kane Lambert and Shai Bolton at different points of the game.
Two votes go to Jack Steele, who was admirable in the midfield as he attempted to bring his side back into the contest.
The co-captain finished strongly with 26 disposals (nine contested), 17 handballs and 10 tackles to be his side’s most influential on-baller.
Steele is yet to take a backwards step despite the Saints’ start to the season, shouldering the responsibility as captain superbly.
Jack Higgins rounds out this week’s voting following a two-goal display against his former side.
The 22-year-old was joined by Jack Lonie as a multiple goalscorer, with his first major giving his side an early spark after Richmond bagged the first two of the game.
Higgins sits level with Max King for goals (nine) after the first five rounds.
