Georgia Patrikios’ scintillating season has been rewarded with her second Best & Fairest, the perfect culmination to an extremely impressive 2021 season.
The 20-year-old – who was a joint winner of last year’s award – polled almost double the amount of votes (80) of the second-placed Tyanna Smith (49) to claim the club’s most coveted accolade.
Co-captain Cat Phillips rounded out the podium finishers (39), while Rhi Watt and Tilly Lucas-Rodd finished inside the top-five.
Patrikios’ terrific campaign came complete with maiden All-Australian honours, a place in the AFL Players’ Association 22Under22 side, a nomination for the AFL Players’ Association MVP and selection in the AFLW Team of the Year.
The silky Saint also snared the fan-voted Dare Sainter of the Year and the Rebel Young Leader Award during tonight’s celebrations.
Hannah Priest received the AFLW Crest Award – presented by Reflex and voted on by the playing group – for upholding the values of the club, while Smith’s head-turning debut season earned her the Best Emerging Player Award.
Meanwhile, Bianca Jakobsson’s commitment on and off the field was rewarded with the AFLW Personal Excellence Dual-Career Award, presented by the True Believers Coterie Group.
